Unfortunately, due to the latest Google Photos API update starting with 1st of April 2025 the sidebar no longer works and has been disabled.

With the Google Photos Sidebar you can browse and insert images from albums in your Google Photos.
The sidebar allows you to search through photos and albums. You can sort by name A-Z, Z-A, newer or older.
You can click on an image to insert it in the Google Slides presentation.
You can also select a number of images or all of them and insert them as slides in bulk. The images are inserted to match the size of the slide.
