FileDrop Updates – Week 1 – 2026

The start of the year brought FileDrop a ton of new features and updates. Follow along with our updates:

Dashboard and menus

We made improvements to the dashboard design with options to start using our tools right away and your account stats. We have a new header with quick access links to main tools and support also.

File Request Pages 

The page creation for collecting files is more simple, using tabs with rearranged items that are more intuitive.

A page break field is now available to split longer forms into sections.

And now have a simple but very useful text editor to help with descriptions and instructions on the front end.

The submission entries can now be renamed and this will reflect in the Google Drive folders created by it based on the fields in the form. This is displayed in the You can have name, email or any other field in the form.

We also improved the search fields across all tools, files in page submissions, PDFs

PDF Hosting

In PDF links you can edit the title and add a short description for the file link.

Secure Send – File Sharing 

The secure links are now even better to prevent unauthorized access, a PIN email access is enabled by default for all shared links.

Only users that received the shared links can retrieve the PIN via email and access the file.

FileDrop.me Subdomains

This new feature alone is huge for us as it give a more professional look to all users.

All frontend pages for File Request Pages, PDF Hosting, and Secure Send links are served from our FileDrop.me domain like:

https://alexandru-jwg20b.filedrop.me/s/5ebfac43-2a01-468f-bcdf-351a5f16b7d6.

This looks much better than the old format that was like:

https://app.getfiledrop.com/share/5ebfac43-2a01-468f-bcdf-351a5f16b7d6.

The subdomain is created based on your email address automatically during sign-up. If you sign up with your company email address, your domain will look like https://yourdomain-jwg20b.filedrop.me/s/5ebfac43-2a01-468f-bcdf-351a5f16b7d6.

Soon, users can use their own domains and customize their FileDrop experience even more.
