Adding files manually to spreadsheet cells in Google Sheets is a painful task. Clicking manually on more than 3–4 files is going to take a lot of time. Introducing FileDrop, a simple add-on for Google Sheets that makes file management a breeze.
No matter if we talk about inserting images, PDF’s, audio files, or any other type of file, you can easily add 1000 files at once with a click of a button.
There are two ways to add files in bulk with FileDrop, via the drag and drop upload area or via our 1 click automations.
Option 1 – Drag and drop files in Sheets using FileDrop
Step 1 – Install FileDrop & Upgrade
You can install FileDrop from the Google Workspace Marketplace or from the Google Sheets Extension Menu > Add-on > Get Add-ons.
Upgrade to any of our paid plans if you want to add more than 100 files and more than 4 files at once. Our paid plans allow for unlimited files and up to 25 files at once.
Step 2 – Open FileDrop
Step 3 – Click to select or Drag and Drop files
Just click anywhere on the upload area or drag and drop your files. Once the files are uploadead they will be displayed in your Google Sheets cells.
Keep in mind that the files will be added in random order depending on the size, not on the selection you made.

Option 2 – Use 1 click automation for bulk file insertion
Step 1 – Add your files to a Google Drive folder
Before starting, please add all the files you want to insert in your Google Sheet to a Google Drive folder.
Step 2 – Install FileDrop & Upgrade
You can install FileDrop from the Google Workspace Marketplace or from the Google Sheets Extension Menu > Add-on > Get Add-ons.
Upgrade to any of our paid plans.
Step 3 – Open FileDrop
Step 4 – Select the Drive tab
Select the Drive tab and navigate to the folder you want by clicking through the folders.
Step 5 – Insert All Files
Once there, click on the Insert all files button and wait a few seconds. The files will be inserted in your Google Sheets cells.

Conclusion
Just install the add-on, upgrade to the Pro version, and drag and drop your files in the upload area or use the Insert All Files button. Your files are uploaded and automatically added to the selected cells or column.
