We’ve been quiet in the last few weeks with the updates; for the FileDrop Workspace add-on we had more bug fixes than new features released but we worked on our free web tools more plus a lot of free templates. Maybe I should have posted stuff from behind the scenes and show you what we are working on.
Today I am excited to announce that our new web platform is live. At the moment we are still adding tools, and is more a way to manage the licenses, but this is just the cornerstone of what FileDrop will be able to do with files in the future, this is the start.
Our colleague Robin has worked his ass off on this, and I want to thank him for bearing with all my quirks, but my goal is to have a great working software and I think we are on the right path.
Manage Licenses
Currently we have a great interface that allows better control of your license(s); no more emailing us when you want to change your licenses. This is for both our users and for us to manage an increased number of customers.
Both Pro and Business+ are capable of creating a team.
– Before, only Business+ users could create teams of users. Now you get flexibility on the type of license you need, plus you can assign the licenses you control to any user at any time.
– Also an easy access to your subscription to upgrade, modify, or cancel. We are here for you at every step of your journey. More upgrades to this are coming in the next few days.
Subscription Management
The subscription management allows you to upgrade, downgrade, cancel, or change the current plan you have for you or your team.
Web tools
The new web platform allows us to give you access to many features we had in the Workspace add-on at the same price with more convenience and add new ones. Currently paid users can access:
- Convert PDF to DOCX
- Convert PDF to Excel
- Extract tables data
- Extract text from files – one or many
- Translate text

Depending the license you will get access to:
- Translate files
- Summarize documents with AI
- Image Editor
- Image conversion and resize
- much more…
The web platform pricing is included in the current plans we have. Business+ users can access all the tools, Pro users have limited access to the current tools, more will be added soon.
