Access Google Photos in Google Slides

I’m thrilled to introduce an amazing new feature we’ve released – an integration between Google Photos and Google Slides. This special sidebar allows you to seamlessly insert images from your Google Photos library directly into your Google Slides presentations.

Accessing the Google Photos Sidebar

To get started, you’ll find the Google Photos sidebar under the Tools bottom menu or the Extension menu in the FileDrop Slides version. It’s also available in FileDrop for Google Sheets, providing the same functionality across both versions.

Navigating Your Photo Albums

When you open the sidebar, it will initially display the albums in your Google Photos library. You can click on any album to view the photos within it. The sidebar offers several handy options, including the ability to search for specific photos, sort them alphabetically or by date, and select one, multiple, or all displayed images.

Inserting Photos into Your Slides

To insert a single photo, simply click on the desired image in the sidebar. It will automatically create a new slide with the selected photo, featuring a black background that you can customize as needed. If you want to insert multiple photos, select them in the sidebar and click the “Insert Selected” button. The app will generate new slides, one for each selected image.

Exploring and Switching Albums

You can easily switch between albums by going back to the sidebar and choosing a different album. This way, you can incorporate images from various sources into your presentation, creating a visually compelling and diverse set of slides.
