Welcome to a new issue of FileDrop Updates. The month of February was a busy one, we released new features and updated some of our help content, and published a number of blog posts to increase your know-how about Google Sheets and productivity.
The new features we released are:
Save Cells Selection as PNG and Send
The most important feature we released in February was the Save Selection tool.
Select cells from your Google Sheet, and with one click, you can save that selection as a PNG image. The file is saved in your Google Drive. It’s like making a screenshot of that selection of Google Sheets.
You can send that image to other users via email, download it, or copy the url and share it however you want.
I think this is a neat tool that should be part of any spreadsheet software, and it’s free for any FileDrop user.
Download Manger
The Download Manager is a simple tool part of our Folder Tools sidebar that can help you download files from links in bulk directly in your Google Drive. This is available to all Pro and Business+ users.
Website Image Downloader
This new tool is part of our Image Kit sidebar, the Website Download Manager will scan the url and download the images it finds on that page. This is available to all Pro and Business+ users.
We also made some fixes to some of our tools in the Folder Tools and footer toolbar, like the OCR button.
Quick Training
The FileDrop Quick Training page is a way to help new users understand how FileDrop works and get them started using it’s main features.
We also released a free course for FileDrop here and a free Google Sheets course.
